Call Center

"Believe me, you should call this number" Rox repeated in a mild tone, handing me a little black card.

I glanced at her first, then at the piece of paper. Eventually, sighing deeply, I nodded at my friend. She was just trying to help me.

Life wasn't being nice to me. Some days ago I was almost strangling my boss, but I just gave him a fake smile and his mail before to go and try to calm my nerves. Rox was being so kind to me, saying that I should find some company. I don't want to become like one of those old and bitter spinsters!

"Yeah...you're right... I'll call them as soon as I'll be finished there"

"Right sweetie! Try them tonight, it'll be a nice surprise to you" she grinned then, leaning and giving another glance around. Just to be sure that no one was listening to our little conversation. "I can't wait to see them...And I usually ask for number three. But I've seen the catalogue and I think you should ask for number one. It's your kind of man, honey."

I just had time to nod before a wrathful Nick stepped inside.

Nick is our boss, you know. He's arrogant and conceited. And thoroughly alone, as the whole staff keep on gossiping about his wife who left him for a young hunk. She had to have been a wise woman.

"What are you doing there? I pay you to work, not to gossip or paint your nails!"

************

Only late that afternoon I had some spare time. The little card which Rox had given me was still laying on my wooden desk.

I was curious. After all it was but a phone call. I could just...listen to what the call center said and then decide what to do.

Oh, damn it!

Who am I trying to fool? I'm dying to see what it will be like!

My fingers didn't falther the least bit while I was dialing the number. Yet I almost held my breath when they answered.

"G-good morning.. No I'm a new customer...Ehm... I'd say number one, thank you... Black...No, no! I'm just--I've been single for a while. Yes...thank you ...Really? Good! Nine p.m. Right. Ok. Ok. Bye!"

Oh my God! I've done it!

************

I can't believe it. Nine p.m. And I'm behaving like a youngster on her first date!

Pull yourself together, you idiot! Or else what would he think about you?

As the doorbell rang I jolted on the chair I was restlessly sitting on, and I ran to the door, looking at my reflection in the mirror just to check that everything was in order.

My breath was caught in my throat as I saw the wonderful man standing on the doorstep. He was tall and had broad shoulders. His fair hair hung freely over his shoulders and I found myself wondering if they would be as soft as they seemed. Possibly even more. He was all clad in black, as I asked at the call center. The number one was holding a bunch of red roses in one hand and a little packet in the other. Chocolates. I recognized the box.

"Good evening" he said in a soft and warm voice. "Are you Miss Becky?"

"Y-yes" I managed to breath, my knees threatening to give away. "It's me...and...y-you are?"

"Sean" he smiled, handing me the roses. But I wasn't looking at the flowers. That smile. His smile, was almost too much to bear. I could have jumped on him right then and there. Why on Earth did I ask just for two hours? I could have had him for the whole night!

"These are for you, Becky. You're way more beautiful, anyway..."

"Thank you..." I finally smiled, taking the roses and stepping aside to let him enter.

As he neared me, closing the door at his back, my heart was furiously hammering in my chest, and I was sure by now that it was going to break my ribcage and fly away. He smelled so good. Cologne. No, no, wait. It's Ck one. That perfume mingled with the scent of his skin made me think of naughty things.

One of his hands brushed against my neck, and I shivered in anticipation, nervously licking my lips.

"I will do anything you want me to, my lady. You're my master tonight, and I'll make sure to realize each and every one of your desires. No matter how unearthly they seemed. With me, your fantasies will become real..." he murmured in a strange accent, and I found myself getting wet. God, he was so sexy.

"D-do you think it could be possible for you to stay there for...say the whole night?" I managed to say, my voice barely more than a whisper as his hands settled at my sides. His fingers igniting fire wherever they touched me.

A somewhat devilish smile curved his lips at my words. "I already knew that you would have asked me to stay over for the night. Your friend Rox is a regular customer of ours, and she called right after you... to order the number three. And she told me that you would have needed all of my attention, for you've been alone for way too much time. And we don't want you to be all alone in that huge, cold bed, do we?"

"No...I don't want to stay alone... not anymore" I said then, finally grinning back at him.

I soon forgot about the chocolates and the roses, while I led him to my bedroom. Our clothing was being carelessly abandoned along the way. Our gazes locked. That man smelled of sex. And I needed him.

"Sean?" I found myself asking right before he pushed me onto the bed. "Who's the number three?"

His right eyebrow raised at my question. It lasted but a moment, for he was already crawling his way to my naked body. Hunger and lust evident in his green eyes.

"His name's Viggo..."
